LeBron’s Game-Worn Jersey From Cavs Debut Sells For USD$50,000

When LeBron James returned to Cleveland you had to know that every piece from his home-opener would be going up for auction, including his game worn jersey. LeBron and the Cavs didn’t live up to the hype on that night, as the Knicks walked away with a victory, but that didn’t stopped fanatics from bidding on the navy, game-worn tank top.

The auction recently ended with the winning bid totalling an enormous $50,040. According to the listing, LeBron James was ‘mic’d up’ for this game and the jersey has a black pouch on the inside where the microphone resides. There is also ‘sticky tape’ residue on the inside of the jersey to help secure the microphone.

Kevin Love and Kyrie Irving’s jerseys from that night also went up for auction, though they only sold for $2,595 and $5,761, respectively.
